April 2, 2026 marks the 19th World Autism Awareness Day, and also a significant moment as One Foundation’s Blue Action initiative celebrates its 15th anniversary. ROISERV’s public welfare brand, Yidong Wanjia, once again joins hands with One Foundation, championing the core concept of “accessible communities, independent living.” Together, they call upon millions of property owners, all employees, and all sectors of society to lend a hand—using understanding to eliminate prejudice and action to build support—so that every individual with autism can live independently, integrate comfortably, and grow with dignity within the communities they know.
They are not children from distant planets, but our neighbors. In our residential areas, streets, shopping malls, and parks, there lives a special group of people—those with autism spectrum disorder. They may differ from us in social communication and behavioral expression, but they equally yearn to be seen, accepted, and treated with kindness.
It is estimated that there are approximately 14 million people on the autism spectrum in China, and about 12 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, affecting the daily lives and futures of tens of millions of families. What they need is not sympathy or pity from a position of superiority, but equal opportunities, an inclusive environment, and accessible support.
As stated in One Foundation’s “Blue Book”: Disability is a state of life, a reflection of human diversity; it is not a label, nor a fault, but a condition that any of us may experience at some point in our lives.
One Foundation’s Blue Action: 15 Years of Persistence, Making Inclusion Happen: Since its launch in 2012, Blue Action has collaborated with over 730 social organizations, covering 262 cities, and has conducted thousands of online and offline advocacy activities, continuously promoting social awareness and acceptance, while reducing prejudice and barriers.
As a long-term partner of Blue Action, ROISERV has worked alongside One Foundation, focusing on the community setting to bring care right to people’s doorsteps: supporting One Foundation’s Ocean Heaven Project, which provides rehabilitation training, family empowerment, community integration, employment support, and other full-life-cycle services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities; promoting the development of residential areas, buildings, shopping centers, and public spaces into autism-friendly environments, making travel, shopping, and leisure smoother and more reassuring; and advocating a shift from “knowing what it is” to “knowing how to act,” encouraging every resident to become a supportive presence for the autism community.
By the end of 2025, the Ocean Heaven Project had collaborated with over 605 social organizations nationwide, assisting more than 912,200 individuals with special needs and benefiting 1.172 million family caregivers, using expertise and compassion to provide a beacon of support for millions of families.
